Funimation to redub Sailor Moon anime!?! Thanks to this topic over at the new (very active now) Genvid forums, I became aware of this new poll at the Funimation website asking fans which series they would like to see dubbed and an option is, "Redubbed Entire Sailor Moon Series".
Head on over there now and let our voices be heard! Even if you're a HUGE fan of the existing English dub like I am (really like DiC dub!) vote anyway to show how strong the fandom still is! If anything it may get an English dub of Sailor Starsand an official Subtitled release using the new digitally remastered Japanese sources! Could also mean a release of the rereleased Sailor Moon manga!

I REALLY hate the DiC dub, and honestly I've never heard a dub I liked...BUT you make a delightful point. Dubs usually come with subtitles, and if someone did re-dub this, it's most likely we'd see a sub of the entire series as well. A domestic release would certainly be preferable to my questionably subtitled Hong Kong boxed set. o_O

Just voted. Since Sailormoon is the only thing on there that I've seen, and one of the few I recognized, it wasn't a difficult choice.^^

Makes me wonder if the company is in negotiations already, or whether they're checking interest levels.

What I'd like, more than a redub, is a remastered version of the early seasons. The box sets released for classic and R use the original prints and sound, and the sound especially didn't fare well over the years. I always have to turn the volume up on the TV when I watch them. And the pictures are more grainy than later seasons. Remastering would make it worth buying the series again.

I actually was in the same area as when this came up with a voice actress at Az, she wants to "redub" Stars. I think that was the only way to include that season by just getting Sailormoon on the ticket.
