sailormoonOkay, not a proper Myu rewatch, but I stumbled across this awesome link and had to share.
Sailor-Dream is a beautifully talented Chinese competitive cosplay group. The videos on their channel are filmed live at conventions and events, so there's a lot of cross-talk and people standing in the way, but it's lovely all the same.
A lot of their videos involve synchronized dancing and lip-syncing to Sera Myu songs, including my recurring favorites, Solar Miracle Make-Up! and L'amour D'amour Moonlight. They also do short versions of manga/anime scenes, such as Usagi's first meeting with Luna and the downfall of the Silver Millennium. (Make sure to turn on closed captioning for English subtitles.)
Sailor-Dream's longest effort is the four-part Project Crystal - The Lover of Princess Kaguya, about fifteen minutes in total. It's a straightforward adaptation of the Princess Kaguya story, albeit with some awfully sophisticated staging, and a performance of "Fire!" (well chosen!) during the battle.
I would love to see some original storylines from this group. Borrow one of the recurring myu songs as a centerpiece, throw in some background music as embellishment, and overlay it with five minutes' worth of plot that the viewers have never seen before. On the other hand, what they're already doing is plenty impressive enough, especially for amateurs. They certainly blow every American cosplay group I've seen out of the water.
