Oh this is so fun:
Name: Jack
Age: 22
When I got into Sailor Moon: I'm not exactly sure how old I was, but my first encounter with Sailormoon was the commercial for the original American doll set on television. Shortly after that, I saw my first episode (the one in the DIC first season that involves ice-skating) in syndication (I think) very early in the morning. I liked it, but I didn't know when or on what channel to tune in regularly. A few years later I started watching it more religiously when it came to Cartoon Network, which was about the same time that the manga started to be printed in comic book-format starting with the story of the second tankoban so I read that in it's original run. Since then, of course, I've also followed the live action tokusatsu show, Pretty Guardian Sailormoon, and am a big fan of the Seramyu stage shows. I've even played a few of the videogames!
Favorite Character: This is a really hard question. When I was younger, I identified strongly with Mercury, but I'm less interested in her now. I love Rei and I love all of the outer senshi especially Neptune. I tend to love them all more in the context of femmeslash because Rei/Usagi class-s love is so canon, Makoto/Ami love is so adorable, and Haruka/Michiru is positive LGBT/Q representation! I do love Setsuna's unrequited love for Mamoru, though, which is expounded on in Seramyu.
Least Favorite Character: Maybe Minako because I think she's slightly overrated, but I still do like her.
Favoite Villain: Galaxia by far!
Least Favorite Villain: Neherenia I guess.
Favorite Season of the Anime: The original was just trying to get on its feet. R was great albeit middle of the road. Super S was a little too saccharine for me. Therefore, I guess my favorites are S and Stars. In the English-language version of the show I grew up with, R is my favorite perhaps mostly for nostalgia reasons. The Beryl plot arch is my favorite in the manga. The last Seramyu show is my favorite, and I guess there's only really one season of the liveaction show, right?
